Next WorkX Cycle Now Open: Apply by June 15
Join the Dance Church WorkX Team! We’re looking for friendly, reliable humans to support classes and dance for free.
Currently seeking applicants in the following cities only: New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, & Atlanta
Commit to a weekly Work Exchange (WorkX) shift and take unlimited Dance Church classes during the current cycle: July 1 – Dec 31, 2025.
You’ll help check folks in, set up the space, and be part of the energy that makes class feel like magic.
What You’ll Do:
As a member of the WorkX team, your responsibilities include:
✅ Checking in class takers using our mobile system before each class.
✅ Creating a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for everyone.
✅ Assisting with setup tasks like adjusting lights, sound, moving chairs, or covering mirrors.
✅ Showing up on time for your weekly shift (arrive 30-45 minutes before class starts).
✅ Communicating clearly and in advance if an emergency prevents you from attending your shift.

Requirements:
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Available for a weekly schedule through June 30th, 2024 (with potential renewal).
• Friendly, reliable, and punctual.
• Comfortable with mobile tools (training provided):
➡️ Discord for communications with the Dance Church team.
➡️ UnionFit for checking takers in for class.
• Able to bring a mobile device (phone, tablet, or laptop) to class for check-in tasks.
• Comfortable navigating loud, dark spaces and moving through crowds.
• Capable of lifting/moving medium-weight objects (e.g., chairs, fans).
• Complete a brief online training and a 30-minute orientation with your WorkX City Lead before your first shift.

Selection Criteria:
We prioritize applicants who:
✔️ Are available for the entire WorkX cycle.
✔️ Would benefit from Work Exchange to access Dance Church classes.
✔️ Can commit to a consistent weekly schedule.
Familiarity with Dance Church classes, community, and mission is a bonus—it helps us ensure alignment and set you up for success!
