Dear SLC Dance Church fam,

We’re sad to announce that we’re indefinitely closing the doors on our weekly Salt Lake City Dance Church classes.

So many stunning artists have contributed to the sense of sweaty, community playfulness that’s been growing in your city. Through the years, we’ve been honored and humbled to bring you all into dance spaces with artists like Dominica and Mar in the early days, Melissa and Masio in those precious post-quarantine times, and most recently with our LA-to-SLC babe, Cody.

At Dance Church, we understand that artists—like art—metamorphose in response to context, drive, heart, need, and personal as well as social evolution. Every one of our SLC teachers has adored being with you all at Dance Church. Even so, it is time for them to shapeshift.

Catch Cody in this season’s shows with Ririe-Woodburry Dance Company. Cody is fulfilling a thrilling full time contract with Ririe, and is dancing nonstop with an incredible group of artists. Don’t miss their next show — Traverse: Winter Performance — January 15-17, 2026.

Melissa is deep in the joy of taking class and pursuing new dance research over in Paris, France (we’re jealous). 

We absolutely adore these two artists. We know you’ll miss them as much as we will, and we also know that you’ll join us in feeling the thrill they’re each chasing in their careers and lives.

Thank you to the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center for giving us a home in SLC over the years.
